Mold spore sampling & indoor air quality
A clearer picture of the air in your home.
Grounded Home Health offers mold spore air sampling to help investigate a specific indoor concern. We discuss the property and your questions before selecting sample locations. Our standard sampling package includes two indoor samples and one outdoor comparison sample, with laboratory analysis.
What to expect
- Discuss musty odors, moisture history and areas of concern
- Collect indoor samples and an outdoor comparison sample
- Receive the laboratory report and discuss appropriate next steps
Is sampling the right first step?
If growth is already visible, EPA notes that sampling is often unnecessary. Moisture investigation and correction may be more useful. We will discuss your concern so the sampling question is clear before you book.
How should I read the lab report?
There is no federal pass/fail standard for mold spores. Results should be considered alongside moisture conditions, observed concerns and the outdoor comparison. Sampling is one tool, rather than a complete indoor air assessment.

Understand the scope
Air sampling captures conditions at the time and location sampled. It does not locate every hidden source, measure all indoor pollutants, diagnose illness or certify a home as safe. Laboratory turnaround is separate from the home inspection report.
