Private well system inspections
Know more about the well system before you buy.
A closer look at accessible equipment
Grounded is preparing to offer a private well system inspection. Our inspector is completing additional training, and our procedures and Standards of Practice are still being developed. The anticipated scope below is provisional; the final agreement will define the service.
- Accessible well equipment and visible system components.
- Available manufacturer data tags, visible insulation and protective materials.
- Observable pressure tank operation, water pressure behavior and pump cycling characteristics.
- Water flow performance, observable deficiencies and inspection limitations.
An accessible protective enclosure cover may be removed when appropriate. We will not remove or disturb the sanitary cap on the well casing.
What this inspection would not establish
Submerged pumps, underground piping and concealed components are not directly inspected. This is not comprehensive well-yield testing and does not establish drinking water safety. Procedures have not been finalized; no specific test sequence is promised.
Three different questions about water
- Private well system inspection — Coming Soon
- Evaluation of accessible equipment and observable operation. Separate service; check the availability label.
- Well water flow & performance test — Coming Soon
- Limited measurement of water delivery. It does not establish sustainable well yield.
- Water quality laboratory testing — available now
- Laboratory results for the selected sample and panel. This does not evaluate mechanical well condition. A mechanical inspection does not establish drinking water safety.
One service does not automatically include the others.
